How Does It Work?
In late 2005,
ReachBB set out to build an entirely new broadband wireless
network. Instead of rushing to the market with a quick fix to a single
Line-of-Sight RF issue, ReachBB focused on a solution encompassing
current major line-of-sight RF issues, including interference, spectral efficiency, range, scalability, capacity, redundancy, and fault tolerance. After months of research a completely new wireless network was
implemented, the result was a cost-effective system that elegantly and gracefully handled the major complexities of deploying
line-of-sight RF solutions. This innovative new wireless
network blends two significant wireless innovations into a single solution. By coupling an
Advanced Antenna Array with a
Synchronous Mesh Protocol,
ReachBB effectively solved the most serious
line-of-sight RF issues facing our current wireless deployment. The array of high-gain, high-power, sectorized antenna enabled a unique combination of extended reach, high modulation, and 360° coverage. Furthermore, this antenna array allowed a sophisticated protocol to provide bandwidth scheduling and intelligent routing in a way that provided significant benefits for both RF management and mesh networking.
